Andaman Trip Cost for a Couple in 2026: The Honest Breakdown

Excluding flights, a comfortable 6-day Andaman trip for two runs ₹45,000–₹60,000 in season. You can do it leaner, and you can absolutely do it fancier — here’s the line-by-line reality we quote from, with no hidden-markup games.

Line item (couple, 6 days) Budget Comfort Premium
Hotels (5 nights) ₹12,000 ₹22,000 ₹45,000+
Ferries (4 legs) ₹8,000 ₹10,000 ₹13,000
Transfers & sightseeing ₹6,000 ₹9,000 ₹14,000
Activities (dive, boat trips) ₹7,000 ₹10,000 ₹18,000
Food (lunches/dinners) ₹5,000 ₹8,000 ₹14,000

Where couples overspend, every time: last-minute ferry tickets (the cheap classes go first), taxis flagged on beach roads instead of pre-booked transfers, and “package” quotes that bury a 25% markup inside a vague total. Ask any operator — including us — to show the per-day split. If they won’t, that’s your answer.

For calibration: our ready itineraries land at ₹16,999 pp for 4 days, ₹24,499 pp for 6 days and ₹27,499 pp for the honeymoon spec — each including hotels, all ferries, transfers, a free scuba dive and a Radhanagar photoshoot. Compare that against the table and you’ll see why we publish it. Ferry pricing detail lives in the ferry guide; for a budget built around your dates, customise a trip.

Quick answers

Is Andaman expensive compared to Goa?

On-ground costs are similar to Goa’s mid-range; flights and ferries are the extra. What you buy with the difference: emptier beaches and far better water.

How much cash should we carry to Andaman?

ATMs exist in Port Blair and Havelock but queue and empty out in season. Carry ₹10,000–₹15,000 in cash for small eateries, autos and jetty snacks; hotels and dive shops take UPI/cards.

Do package prices include flights?

Almost never — ours included. Flights from the mainland vary too wildly by date; book them 6–8 weeks out and the trip total stays sane.
